ALPHA
Do you ever wonder, Who is Jesus, really? Maybe you feel like Jesus could have something to do with the meaning of your life. Or you consider yourself a Christian but you still feel like you could use a fresh take on the basics of Christianity.

The Alpha course is an opportunity to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening way over ten, thought-provoking sessions.
More than 2 million people worldwide have found it a worthwhile experience, completing the Alpha course in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons. So join us on a journey of discovery.
It could be life-changing!

What happens at Alpha?

Supper
Each night we start at 19:00 with a delicious meal which gives people a chance to get to know each other.
Talk
Then we watch a video by Nicky Gumbel
(the one who developed the course) about topics covering the basics of the Christian faith, such as ‘who is Jesus?’, ‘why did He die?’, ‘what about the Bible?’, ‘why and how do I pray?’.

Coffee & Small Groups.
After each talk we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, to listen, learn and discover. You can ask any question you like.
Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
We always finish the sessions before 22:00.

When does it start and how to sign up?
Crossroads hosts the Alpha course two times per year. It runs for 10 weeks, every Thursday night and a weekend away in the middle of the course. The next Alpha course will start on Thursday 23 September 2010.
If you are interested for that course, please contact Anouk at anouk@xrds.nl.

How to get involved?
To be able to offer the Alpha course we always need people who want to help as cooks, hosts, making people feel welcome and serving practically. If you are interested, please e-mail to Anouk, Alpha-coordinator: anouk@xrds.nl.
