Game Night at the Refugees Camp

Starting over in a new country can be difficult, especially for refugees and immigrants who have come through painful or uncertain circumstances. Many are far from family, learning a new culture, and trying to rebuild life in a place that may still feel unfamiliar.

Game Night is a simple way to bring warmth, connection, and encouragement to newcomers living at the refugee location in Amstelveen and occasionally Amsterdam. Through games, conversation, and shared time together, we want to create a welcoming space where people can relax, laugh, meet others, and feel less alone.

As followers of Jesus, we believe serving our neighbors includes being present with people in practical and relational ways.

We are looking for volunteers who would like to serve the community in this way. You do not need special experience, just a friendly heart, patience, and a willingness to spend time with people.

Whether you can join once or more regularly, your presence can help create a meaningful moment of welcome, joy, and connection.
