Parenting Workshop: Let’s Talk

Monday, 2 March 2026 - Monday, 13 April 2026

Overview:
Explore how to discuss body awareness and sexuality with your children in our supportive workshop. With messages about bodies and sexuality coming from all directions like schools, the internet, and peers, we provide a respectful space to gain insights from Christian professionals and foster healthy understanding for your children.

Purpose:
This workshop aims to assist you in guiding your children toward a positive self-image and managing sensitive conversations about their development at home and within our church community.

Who Should Attend:
Parents, guardians, and carers of children within the age range 0 to 15.

All parents, guardians, and carers are warmly invited from all family structures. If you have sole responsibility for your child(ren) please feel comfortable to come alone. If you are in a family with two or more parents, guardians, &/carers, please do all come. If that is not possible, try to send the person who usually leaves the difficult conversations to the other(s). You know who you are 🙂 Come and be pleasantly surprised by how much there is to learn, and how it will improve your relationship(s) with your child(ren).

Schedule:
Duration: Mondays, 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 March and 13 April at 20:00 – 21:30

Commitment:
Community and safety in the conversations is absolutely key. We therefore ask that you do your best to attend all evenings.

PROGRAMS per week

• Creating a Safe Space: Getting to know each other and set the groundwork for open discussions.
• Sexual Development Over Time: Learn about key stages in child development and when sexual development starts.
• When and how to have the conversation. Discover strategies for meaningful conversations.
• Social Media and Sexuality: Let’s learn and talk about how social media shapes our children’s self-perception.
• Connecting with LGBTQ+ Children: An evening of listening to families and sharing our own dis(comforts).
• Reflecting in my parenting going forward: How are we as Christians to respond and support each other. An evening of reflection and prayer.

– Feel supported by a network of parents and our church through education, sharing, and prayer.
– Gain essential knowledge about the physical and sexual development of children.
– Encounter a range of parenting perspectives and approaches.
– Feel equipped to raise your children in alignment with faith, making these discussions a natural part of church life.
